Activision has gone batshit crazy

Wolfenstein is now available on Steam. For only €59.95. What were they thinking? This game retails for €39.95 in brick and mortar stores. Metacritic rates it 74/100. Activision, you just want PC gaming to die, right?

In other news, Fallout 3 GOTY will be available this friday. Yay!

Operation Flashpoint 2: Dragon Rising behind NAT

If you want to create a server for OFP2 behind NAT these are the ports you'll have to forward on your router: UDP 9100-9120. You'll also have to allow ICMP traffic.

Great game BTW, with amazing amBX support.

All fans of chainsaws, co-op shooters and zombies rejoice! If you head over to Steam you'll find Left 4 Dead 2 (Steam link) available for a release date of November 18.

Far Cry 2: Fortune's Edition

It should come as no surprise I am a fan of amBX. One of the best games implementing it is Far Cry 2. The game itself is quite good, especially because of the enormous game world to explore.

I found the game, including the DLC, on Impulse for a meager €13.91! You can buy it here (Impulse link). If you own an amBX kit you really should get it!

Madballs in Babo: Invasion

I have a bit of a love/hate relationship with Steam. But they, just like Impulse, do give indie developers the exposure they often lack. Today I discovered Madballs in Babo: Invasion. Never heard of it before, but since it had good reviews and there is a 20% discount at the moment, I decided to buy it.

This is the best indie game I've played since Braid. It offers both a single-player campaign and multi-player modes. The gist of it is navigating a heavily armed rolling ball through a hazardous maze full of enemies. You really should try it, even at the regular price of €8.99 it's a total steal.

Do yourself a favor and buy this game (Steam link). Also, check out the developers website. If you own an Xbox 360 you can find it on Xbox Live Arcade. Thank you Playbrains, great work!
