Logitech webcam with Arch Linux ARM
Recently I bought an awesome lil' Linux box called a SheevaPlug. The attached USB port allowed me to connect my trusty old Orbit AF which I planned to use. Unfortunately, libwebcam did not build at first. Some hacks later it segfaulted when accessing the controls.
To cut a long story short, here is the diff file: sheevaplug_libwebcam.zip. Thanks to AceJohnny over at the quickcamteam.net forum. And ofcourse everybody @ Arch Linux ARM
You still need to download the complete kernel sources for uvcvideo.h!

Huawei K3765 and Vodafone on Arch Linux
Recently I got myself a 3G subscription as a fallback for when the ADSL is down. Since I use a Linux server to manage things at home it became the logical choice to maintain this connection. Although Vodafone is quite ahead with supporting Linux that came with all sorts of dependencies (python, GUI) I didn't like.
The ingredients: Arch Linux, kernel 2.6.33 (and pppd), Huawei K3765 and Vodafone Mobile Connect.
